Alyssa Gahunia founded NaachWorld in September 2024. Although NaachWorld is relatively new, the company has already gotten off to a wonderful start. In the first month, NaachWorld hosted a Bangladeshi Folk Dance workshop, where 100% of the proceeds were donated to flood victims in Bangladesh. This was an important cause for Alyssa as she is Bangladeshi, and giving back to her country is important to her. She wants to continue giving back to communities in need.

Alyssa also had the opportunity to perform at the Global Seva Fund Diwali Gala, which was featured on TV ASIA USA. She is grateful for the chance to support the Global Seva Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving humanity in distress. Thanks to NaachWorld, Alyssa was able to have these opportunities.

Alyssa began her dance journey in middle school, taking Bharatanatyam classes. This classical dance foundation inspires her creativity in various South Asian dance styles. In high school, she explored hip-hop, tap, jazz, modern, folk, and, of course, Bollywood. During her college years at Towson University, Alyssa served as a choreographer for the Bollywood Fusion Dance Team and volunteered to teach Bangladeshi folk dance for Ichamati, a Bangladeshi non-profit organization. These experiences fueled her passion for sharing her love of dance with others.

The mission of NaachWorld is to create a platform that unites us in the vibrant world of South Asian dance. Alyssa will do her absolute best to carry out this mission!

Janice specializes in Bollywood and Hip Hop. Other genres she has learned and enjoyed include Jazz, classical Bangladeshi folk, and Modern Contemporary. She is excited to be a part of NaachWorld and to teach what she loves most, dancing.

Gina is a fantastic instructor! With her passion for dance, music, and teaching, she surely creates an engaging and vibrant learning environment. Her ability to play several instruments and incorporate singing into her lessons must make her classes both fun and dynamic. Students are lucky to have her enthusiasm and expertise guiding them in exploring the arts!
